中西交通肇始于古，无论“欧洲中心论”者，还是“在中国发现历史论”者，都不会否认这一事实。但中西交通的效应所达到的经济互相依赖、文化深度互动的程度，无疑是在大航海时代之后。这一时期欧洲知识和产品对中国的影响，已由西学东渐史的大量成果所证明；然而同一时期的中学西渐史研究甚为薄弱。

有鉴于此，复旦大学历史系中国思想文化研究室拟于2016年12月9-11日（9日下午报到，10、11两天讨论）举办“中国知识和产品在西方的传播和影响”国际学术讨论会，议题为：16世纪以来中国瓷器、丝绸、植物（包括茶叶和中药材）、动物、纸张、中医、园林、绘画、音乐等在西方的传播与影响，中国器物西传的研究史回顾以及最新研究状况。

“The Westward Spread and influence of Chinese Knowledge and Goods

Since the 16^th Century”

Call for Papers

This conference aims to bring together international researchers in order to discuss the spread and influence of Chinese knowledge and goods in the West since the 16^th century. These goods include but are not limited to porcelain, silk, plants (tea and Chinese medical plants), animals, paper, Chinese medicine, landscape painting and immaterial art such as music. Contributions offering a literature review of the latest relevant research will be welcome as well.
