王忠孝， 2015年毕业于荷兰莱顿大学历史系，获历史学博士学位（古代史）。2016年至今任职于复旦大学历史学系。现为复旦大学历史学系副教授、硕士生导师。研究专长为罗马史，当前兴趣集中在罗马共和国及元首制时期的政治史与政治文化、罗马历史书写、罗马—古代中国比较研究等方面。先后在《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、Mnemosyne等国内和国际顶级学术期刊发表论文多篇。

目前参与并完成国家社科基金重大课题2项，主持国家社科基金青年项目1项，在复旦历史系开设的课程包括《初级拉丁语》、《中级拉丁语》、《罗马史》、《罗马史研究》、《拉丁铭文研究入门》、《古典文明研究》等。

Zhongxiao (Bryce) Wang is Associate Professor in the Department of History, Fudan University, Shanghai. He received his PhD in Ancient History from Leiden University in 2015, with a dissertation titled “World views and military policies in the early Roman and Western Han empires”. His research interests include Roman political and cultural history of the Late Republic and Early Empire, with particular interests in the Latin West; Roman historiography and biography, and comparative studies between imperial Rome and Qin-Han China. He has published a number of peer-reviewed articles in the above fields. Zhongxiao has recently completed a research project on the representation of the “Roman princes” in early imperial Roman literature. At Fudan he teaches Latin and Roman history courses from undergraduate to PhD level. He is currently working on turning his doctoral thesis into a monograph.
